Alex Hewitt is the founder, and CEO of NetIDme. Alex founded NetIDme in 2004, following concerns for his own children's welfare online. As a successful entrepreneur and software engineer, Alex decided to develop the world's first online age and identity verification service, in an effort to make the internet a safer place for children.
Alex is a well known, respected contributor within the Scottish IT sector, participating at many key industry events throughout the year. He has been in the software industry since 1994, setting up, growing & mentoring a number of successful software ventures. He is also an active member of the Entrepreneurial Exchange, frequently providing advice and inspiration to fellow entrepreneurs.
